Takayuki Suzuki renews contract with Mito HollyHock

Takayuki Suzuki, the veteran striker whose former clubs include Red Star Belgrade and Portland Timbers, and whose time at Kashima Antlers included loan spells at six different clubs, has extended his contract with J.League Division Two side Mito HollyHock.  Suzuki, who appeared for the national team on 55 occasions, scoring 11 times, last made an appearance for the Samurai Blue in 2005. The forward from Ibaraki Prefecture has concluded a deal which will see him stay in his home region until the end of 2012.
