Ryoichi Maeda deal with West Ham United collapses

The two-time J.League Golden Boot winner Ryoichi Maeda will be returning to Júbilo Iwata after failing to agree terms with Npower Championship side West Ham United. First reported here, prior to his trial the 30 year-old stated:

At my age, this is likely my last chance to play overseas and I want to do everything possible to make it happen.

Maeda’s return to Shizuoka is imminent, where he will join Júbilo for pre-season training.
